Ingredients
- 2 lobster tails (or 1½ lb lobster meat)
- 12–16 sea scallops (patted dry)

- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp garlic powder
Garlic Butter Sauce
- 6 tbsp butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Prep seafood
- Cut lobster tails lengthwise, loosen meat.
- Pat scallops completely dry (important for sear).
- Season
- Season lobster and scallops with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
- Sear scallops
- Heat olive oil + 1 tbsp butter in a hot skillet.
- Sear scallops 1½–2 minutes per side until golden.
- Remove and set aside.
- Cook lobster
- In the same pan, add 2 tbsp butter.
- Add lobster meat, cook 2–3 minutes per side until opaque.
- Remove and set aside.
- Garlic butter sauce
- Lower heat, add remaining butter.
- Add garlic, cook 30 seconds (don’t brown).
- Stir in lemon juice, zest, red pepper flakes, parsley.
- Combine
- Return lobster and scallops to the pan.
- Spoon sauce over everything.
- Simmer 1 minute, then serve hot.
