Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

Ingredients:

  • 1 large cabbage
  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef (or beef & pork mix)
  • 1/2 cup (100 g) uncooked rice
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 cups (480 ml) tomato sauce
  • 1 cup (240 ml) beef broth

Instructions:**

  1. Boil whole cabbage 5–8 minutes until leaves soften. Carefully remove leaves.
  2. Mix ground meat, rice, onion, garlic, egg, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Place 2–3 tbsp filling on each cabbage leaf. Fold sides in and roll tightly.
  4. Place rolls seam-side down in a baking dish or pot.
  5. Pour tomato sauce and broth over the rolls.
  6. Cover and bake at 350°F (180°C) for 60–75 minutes (or simmer on stovetop 45–60 minutes).

Serve warm with sour cream if desired.
