
Ingredients:
- 1 large cabbage
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef (or beef & pork mix)
- 1/2 cup (100 g) uncooked rice
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 2 cups (480 ml) tomato sauce
- 1 cup (240 ml) beef broth
Instructions:**
- Boil whole cabbage 5–8 minutes until leaves soften. Carefully remove leaves.
- Mix ground meat, rice, onion, garlic, egg, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Place 2–3 tbsp filling on each cabbage leaf. Fold sides in and roll tightly.
- Place rolls seam-side down in a baking dish or pot.
- Pour tomato sauce and broth over the rolls.
- Cover and bake at 350°F (180°C) for 60–75 minutes (or simmer on stovetop 45–60 minutes).
Serve warm with sour cream if desired.
