Filet Mignon with Shrimp and Lobster Cream Sauce

Ingredients

Steaks

  • 2 filet mignon steaks
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter

Seafood Cream Sauce

  • 4 oz shrimp, peeled, deveined, chopped
  • 4 oz lobster meat, chopped
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken or seafood broth
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt & white or black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: pinch of paprika or cayenne
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season filet mignon generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat. Sear steaks 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Add butter, baste, then remove and rest.
  3. In the same pan, melt butter. Sauté garlic until fragrant.
  4. Add shrimp and cook 1–2 minutes until pink.
  5. Stir in lobster, broth, and cream. Simmer gently until slightly thickened.
  6. Add Parmesan, season to taste, and simmer 1–2 minutes more.
  7. Spoon shrimp and lobster cream sauce over steaks. Garnish and serve immediately.
